The journey follows sections of early trails used during the Second Seminole War and crosses rural communities such as Rood and Jupiter Farms, as well as protected areas including Cypress Creek, Pine Glades, and Hungryland Wildlife and Environmental Area. Along the way, urban zones alternate with wetlands, pine forests, and open prairies, illustrating the transition from Florida’s Atlantic coast to its interior.
The final segment reaches the community of Arundel, where an elevated bridge over the Saint Lucie River marks the high point of the route. From this vantage, the Okeechobee Waterway can be seen linking Florida from east to west, before the return to Limestone Creek completes the journey.
